"EQUILIBRIUM"
Propelled by an infectious groove of high-energy drums, pulsating synth bass, and atmospheric synthesizers, “Equilibrium” balances nostalgia and innovation, combining '80s synth-pop and warm techno with a contemporary twist.
Soaring, organic vocal harmonies, treated electric piano, and horns balance the lush electronic elements of the song with a distinctly human touch, resulting in a sound that feels as simultaneously intimate as Tears For Fears and as expansive as Peter Murphy or Wild Nothing. Guest musician Jan Linton’s innovative Ebow guitar work, harkening to Daniel Ash (of Tones On Tail and Love and Rockets) and Robert Fripp on David Bowie’s “Heroes”, seamlessly blends with the synthesized melodies that envelop the track, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that perfectly complements the introspective nature of the song.
